Call in on Monday June 25th at 7:30 pm EST and get advice from David Neils (founder and executive director of the International Telementor Program), and Venturers Victoria (of the DimWitNot.com Venture Team, an up and coming online study hall ) and Lincoln (of the All for U Venture Team, a business that sells schools supplies and snacks to school-aged students and parents).

Engaging Elected Officials!

Ever wonder if engaging elected officials in your Venture might benefit your team? Interested in learning about some of the reasons why you might choose to engage elected officials and how you might go about doing so?

Venturer Makara of the Box City Vigil for Youth Homelessness Venture Team will share her experience with other students from her high school organizing and hosting an annual all-night event on the Minnesota State Capitol lawn to increase awareness of youth homelessness and raise funds for housing advocacy groups. This year, the team helped encourage the Representatives, who passed a bill that would set aside eight million dollars to the Homeless and Runaway Youth Act.

Technical Allies support young people as they start, lead, and sustain community minded organizations, clubs, or businesses. Special Guest Workshops occur every other Monday at 7:30pm EST, except on federal holidays.
