Este grupo se armo para llevar adelante una tarea que nadie en nuestra provincia lo puede hacer solo lo hacen pero es muy costoso, nos enteramos de Avancemos y analizamos la situacion de nuestra comunidad con el apoyo de la Biblioteca decidimos montar y crear nuestro grupo de trabajo "Enseñando por un Futuro Mejor" en nuestra biblioteca.

(Bigger Than) Hip Hop Project

(Bigger than) Hip Hop Project is an afterschool program at a middle school based on hip-hop. The first hour would be dedicated to schoolwork, followed by a 45-minute roundtable discussion based history of hip-hop and to finish the day, the young people will break into groups based on the four elements of hip-hop: DJing, MCing, break dancing, and graffiti art. Instead of there being a progression based on age, the progression would be based on years active. The arts education would progress naturally with lessons incorporating more details and tougher tasks as years pass.

Esta propuesta impulsada por el Ecoclub hoy ya se implementa. Nuestra actividad consiste en documentar los lugares de destino de los claustros de pilas e incentivar, velar y dar a conocer la iniciativa para que la población en su totalidad de involucre.
Nuestro proyecto no ofrece una solución al problema de la contaminación por parte de las pilas y baterías sino una alternativa para su disposición final. Los beneficios del proyecto son a largo plazo. Nuestro trabajo consiste además en controlar el estado de los claustros.

Above It was launched a year ago in November (2008). Above It was launched because way too many teens are out abusing drugs, and need to know what happens to them. Above It is on a virtual community named Teen Second Life, and through there we have teens that attend our discussion and events. A year in and Above It has accomplished some of its main goals. Including; finding a place to host meetings, and have parties. Above Its main purpose is to help teens understand the effects of what drugs/alcohol can really do to you.

I attend California State University, Chico and it was a few months ago when I was struggling to find a balance between finishing my final projects, and studying for final exams when a letter arrived notifying me I had to find a new place to live. My rental lease had expired. Panicked, I took to the internet. I found it nearly impossible to find the results I was looking for and was forced to pursue my search on foot and via the telephone. The problem that I found on the internet was that rental agency sites didn’t have updated listings or that their sites lacked content.

We came up with the idea in 2007 when one of our group members who tutored and did art projects with children in the Rochester City School District, saw how talented the children were and how important it was that they had the opportunity to create art.

So, we decided to devise a way for children to use their own work to raise funds for cultural events in Rochester. Our project involves collecting artwork from children in the Rochester city school district, printing it onto canvas bags, and selling the bags to raise money for art events and supplies for children.

We are looking at technologies such as biodiesel, compressed air, and pure hydrogen fuel. There has also been talks about synthesizing other hydrocarbons from sources other than crude oil. We evaluate the efficiency of each alternative fuel and then determine which ones to move forward with on a large scale prototype. Apsurd started as youth Venture that created social, environmental, and animal-right themed shirts to sell. Shirt sales raised awareness proceeds went to organizations committed to these causes.

Not all things went as planned and we encountered many "harder than anticipated" obstacles primarily associated with the business side of our venture. By trying to print, design, sell, and market everything, we had a long way to go.

Kizzi grew up in the Caribbean and because of her first hand struggle to attain an opportunity at higher level education she has a passion to make that path easier for other students coming from her background that being disadvantaged, minority, underprivileged, etc. Shub has always had a passion for dancing and the arts and was dissatisfied with the few opportunities for individuals interested in the arts at higher education institutions.

Throughout the United States, there are a limited amount of schools that have the facilities to be able to teach autistic children. This team's goal is to raise both awareness and money so that autistic children have the same priviledges to be able to attend and learn at any school they choose. This team will also be working toward raising money so that the necessary tools can be installed in any classrooms for children who are hearing/seeing impaired.

Sofia the founder became interested after her involvment with her little cousin who has autism. She met Genesis and Yanilka at the Youth Venture meeting and they came together for the one cause. The point of the venture is to raise autism awarness especially in teenagers through fundraisers and projects.

We are a group of high school students from the Bellevue, Washington area that believe in the right of all children to have the opportunity to excel and succeed within the education system. Todo comenzó en una clase llamada Habilidades de Desarrollo Personal y Autogestión, donde el profesor Octaviano nos pidió como proyecto final una actividad llamada cadena de favores. La actividad consistía en que teníamos que hacerle un favor a cualquier persona sin esperar algo a cambio, además convencerlo de que el también le tiene que hacer un favor a tres personas más. También estaba dentro de ese proyecto un labor social de cualquier tipo, entonces pensamos, nunca hemos estado involucrados en actividades por el beneficio a la comunidad.

Ever since we started high school, we would always hear someone complaining about how our school looks, the bathrooms, the stairs, the Arts building - everything. And so, the idea for this project came about. Having been in the Coro Center for Civic Leadership's Exploring Leadership program in 2006, Caroline (the president for the 06-07 school year) became joined the Coro-Youth Venture partnership and submitted a proposal for this club. And so it began.

Backpack Program Project

Our team consists of four members from the Entrepreneurship Focus Program. We are collecting old cell phones from local businesses to recycle into cash. This money will be donated to the Lincoln Food Bank Backpack Program. This is a program that gives children in need a backpack full of wholesome food to eat on the weekends.

Somos el colectivo Balí, integrado por Soledad, Jacinto, Procopio, Minerva, Osvaldo y Magdalena. Nuestro grupo es originario de Teotitlan del Valle, un pueblo ubicado en los Valles Centrales de Oaxaca.
En nuestra comunidad la lengua materna es el zapoteco, que lamentablemente los y las jóvenes ya no hablan por temor a ser discriminados. De este modo se ha ido perdiendo la identidad y cultura del lugar.

The school where this project began, Cranbrook, hosts German exchange students every year. In May, 2007, two of us decided to start an intercontinental project involving friends from both the Michigan area, and Munster, Germany. Since it is a boarding school, we quickly spread to the hometowns of other editors and writers. We’re now continuing to expand our base of writers and other contributors to the magazine – currently including France, United Arab Emirates, Norway, USA, Germany, Czech Republic, China, Malaysia.

Somos un grupo que se formo aproximadamente hace 2 años con un gran entuciasmo por hacer cosas para nuestra comunidad. We enjoy making jewelry and clay figures and teaching. Since youth venture has to give back to the community, we decided to teach classes to underprivileged girls. Now we also sell jewelry to sustain our business. We teach at Girl's inc and New Generations. Girl's inc is an afterschool program for girls that is a safe place for them to go. New Generations is a shelter for homeless pregnant women.

After spending a summer in Rundu, Namibia, Laura realized music is not only an inspiration to her but to many people around the world. The arts can easily motivate further education of all kinds. It was with this realization that the concept for this non-profit organization developed, Bringing Education through Arts To the World. Since creating this organization, she has been joined by two other New York University students, Dana John and Mark Martin.
