The team shared information about HIV/AIDS with the audience, served each attendee a single bowl of porridge to represent the typical food eaten every day in Africa by HIV/AIDS victims, served a meal of traditional African foods, and supplied the evening's entertainment by putting on a dance performance.
Free Burma hit the streets for the first time, selling T-shirts to raise awareness of the human rights violations occurring in Burma. The team went to the University and sold their FREE BURMA t-shirts, with attached information on Burma, dirt cheap to local college students.
The First Five Pages organized the free publication and donation of the top five pre-school age stories written by their sixth grade English class. Student volunteers accompanied the stories to their new home at the Oakdale Head Start and read them out-loud to the pre-school children served there.
