The Ann M. Martin Foundation supports organizations working on homelessness, education, literacy, children and animals. 501(c)(3) status is required to apply for a grant worth up to $20,000.

$500 Youth Action Net awards are available to young people age 18-29 who have a leadership role in a youth-led initiative that works to create positive change in their community.

Third Wave Foundation:

Ellen Dougherty Activist Fund:

The Ellen Dougherty Activist Fund provides grants of up to $2,000 to women 19 and under who propose to develop and lead projects focused on activism and social change.

Captain Planet Foundation:

Brower Youth Awards:

The Brower Youth Awards recognize six environmental leaders age 13-22 with prizes of $3,000 each. Additionally, each winner is brought to San Francisco for the award week and a backcountry camping trip.

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards:

Outstanding middle and high school age volunteers are eligible to receive $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C. from Prudential.

NetAid Global Action Awards:

NetAid honors high school students who have organized and led a project that has helped people in developing countries, or raised awareness about global poverty in their own communities. Honorees receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Barron Prize:

CDC is a developmental organizaton working with primitive tribes called BAIGA. They were living in deep forest but due to so called development and civil societies they have beed distrubed. They are illiterate, unskilled and unaware. CDC has started to work with 35 BAIGA families whose are living now in near by village. Their only livelihood is based on forest, lots of rules and regulation and forest Act they are now unable to get benefit from the forest, Now they are doing labor in agriculture or collecting some non timber forest produces and selling and earn money for life. OR finding different kinds of roots for food. They don't have proper food and sheltor also.

CDC decided to work on skill improvement and insuring their source of income through use of their traditional skill. We are thinking to trained them and support them for making of Stabalized Mud Block for low cost building materials. It is energy saver and echo friendly. The technique is developed by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. If some people got proper training and equipments, they could use for their own houses and after they can sell it to earn income for their livelihood.

I and some of my colleagues have started a new venture which we hope to lunch it officially 16th June 2008 and starte operation at onve
This venture aim to help the underprivileged and less privilege children in Sierra Leone and am hoping to extend it in all West Africa States.
This my venture is named "HELP THE NEEDY" focusing on raising funds to help children who are currently in critical conditions. Some of these children are street children,Children with HIV/AIDS,Orphans etc.
This venture will help these type of children in the following areas:
* Education
* Health care
* Access to clean and safe drinking water
* Access to information
* Access to recreation and sport
* Building of orphanages etc.
This is a new venture which need help from individuals all over the world ,but we don't accept donations from child right violators or drug dealers
We are accepting donations ranging from $5 and above from individuals,organizations etc.
We hope to start our operation 16th June 2008 after receiving donation in any quantity.
"CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST RESOURCES"
We look forward to make a world fit for children if all of us put hands together.
