Hello, world!

I’m a young global citizen who cares a lot about the Earth and aims to act wisely, boldly and jointly to ensure that we’ll live in a sustainable way, as a part of -- and not apart from, as it’s long been -- the environment. For me, education is the only valid path toward a fairer, better world. That’s why I’m getting involved in activities which raise the public’s awareness on global environmental changes (climate change; energy, water & food supply; climate refugees).

"HOME"

My latest plan is about screening "HOME" (http://www.home-2009.com/ or http://www.youtube.com/homeproject/), Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s breath-taking and thought-provoking movie, at no cost in my city and its neighborhood, and promoting a series of debates concerning global environmental challenges (causes and consequences; solutions). I’m now subtitling "HOME" in Portuguese and, as soon as this task gets finished, I’ll ask a friend of mine to narrate the movie in Portuguese too. All for free, because education is no business for me, it’s a basic human need, and what the world most need now isn’t wealth, it’s wisdom.

Currently, I attend the last year of both high school and Industrial Computing technical courses in the Industrial Technical High School of Guaratinguetá, in Brazil. I’m also interested in the role automation plays in making a company environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.
