World Youth Citizens http://world-youth-citizens.org is organizing the 4th edition of its Students Day event (Schülertage 2008), one week where youth from various countries present their experiences running social and environmental projects in their home countries to high school students in Germany. International Youth Forum 2008 – Bandung, Indonesia, June 23rd – 30th 2008
The theme of the meeting, "The Role of Youth; Action on Millennium Development Goals toward a Peaceful World" takes place in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia from June 23rd to 30th 2008 International Youth Forum 2008 is a forum for youths to learn, share and experience mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among world youth faiths leader communities through real conversations on what things that matter the most, so that they can be the agents of a peaceful change in their own communities. The IYF 2008 will bring about 300 young people ages of 18-30 from around the world that have been actively engaged or interested in this program. CIVICUS World Assembly, Scotland, 16th-21st June 2008
The next CIVICUS World Assembly will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, in June 2008. The application deadline 31st March and the process is open to youth aged 18 to 25 years old. The Youth Assembly will offer young delegates a program and a space to develop and commit to action internationally. The theme of participation in civil society will be explored over the course of the event and delegates will learn about issues that affect billions of people worldwide. International Youth Peacebuilding Summit, Accra, Ghana, May 2nd -7th, 2008
The International Youth Peacebuilding Summit organized by the Africa Youth Development Alliance in partnership with the African Youth Initiative, Global Youth Action Network-Ghana, International Young Professional Foundation-Ghana, Apeadu Peace Centre, Common Caucus Africa-Canada, Young Peace Brigade and the African Network of Young Peacebuilders will take place in Accra, Ghana on May 2-7, 2004. The summit will feature debate and discussions on policy and advocacy issues, provide knowledge and skills necessary for implementing positive change, and provide an opportunity to formulate strategies on handling conflict situations in Africa.
