YouthActionNet® Global Fellowship Program - Deadline: 22nd May 2008
Launched in 2001 by the International Youth Foundation, YouthActionNet® strengthens, supports, and celebrates the role of young people in leading positive change in their communities. Each year, 20 exceptional young social entrepreneurs are selected as YouthActionNet® Global Fellows following a competitive application process. The yearlong Fellowship program includes a seven-day capacity building retreat in Washington DC (all expenses paid), networking, advocacy, and access to potential funding opportunities. Atlas Corps Fellowship: Deadline Extended until 18th May 2008, now available worldwide
Atlas Corps - www.atlascorps.org/apply.html - seeks nonprofit leaders from around the world to apply for their 2008 Fellowship positions in Washington, DC and Bogota, Colombia. Any nonprofit leader, from any country, with a college degree, about 3-8 years of nonprofit experience, English fluency and a commitment to return to their country may apply. All expenses are paid for in this program including visa, travel, training, health care, living stipend and a $2,500 end of service award. Fellows are placed at outstanding Host organizations like Ashoka, Compartamos con Colombia, Grameen Foundation, Population Action International, TechnoServe, Conexion Colombia, GlobalGiving, Fundación Saldarriaga Concha and more. They are enrolled in a management development program and join a growing network of nonprofit leaders from around the world. The deadline is May 18, however candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible because as good matches are found for the Hosts, positions are filled. World of Children grants – Deadline: 30th April 2008
World of Children, a non-for profit dedicated to identifying and supporting social innovators who are pioneering life-changing programs on behalf of children all over the world, is accepting nominations for the 2008 World of Children Awards.World of Children will award two grants of up to $100,000 each to those who have pioneered successful programs that have improved children’s lives in the areas of education, health, social services, humanitarian service, medicine or the sciences. Additionally, there are two grants of up to $25,000 each for youth up to 21 years old that are making extraordinary contributions to the lives of other children.
