10 / 29 (event) Fall Into Reading with My Own Book Start: 08:50 We hosted a Family Reading Night at Bransford Elementary, thanks to a generous grant from Target. We read aloud to the children . Next, teachers worked with the parents, giving tips on how to read aloud. Each child got to pick a book of their very own, and we added a bookplate with their name on it. In addition, we hosted a raffle for the kids with different stuffed book characters (Oscar the Dog, for instance) and their matching books. The children had a great time and including the families was a good way to interact with more of the community. more info

We are asking all of the students in our school to participate by sitting at a different table at lunch. This will challenge the social boundaries and push towards creating tolerance.
