Sheila is a Partner Specialist with the United Way of Greater Nashua at YV New England as well as an Americorps VISTA. She is excited to be working with all the fantastic people in the NE office and inspiring young people to make a difference and change the world!
Sheila is a recent graduate from Gettysburg College with degrees in Spanish and English. She was heavily involved in community service in college particularly with the co-ed service fraternity APO where she facilitated relationships with community members and led various service initiatives and projects.
She loves to travel, especially to Spanish speaking countries and studied abroad for a semester in college to Buenos Aires, Argentina. She also traveled to Nicaragua for 2 weeks last January and led a service learning project where she and her group helped build a school, learned about free and fair trade, picked coffee in the mountains and climbed an active volcano.
Sheila is an avid reader, hiker, frisbee player and runner. She recently ran her first marathon on May 27th in Burlington, VT and even had a good time! Sheila is enjoying New England and hoping to gain many life changing experiences and opportunities here.
