Youth Venture

Brady and Kyle are not only brothers, but also good friends.
They are both Eagle Scouts and have earned every merit badge available (121!) plus the Hornaday Award for their conservation work. Brady, a senior in the International Baccalaureate program, is a member of his school's Academic Decathlon program, National Honor Society, and the Varsity Tennis team. He is also a youth member of the California State 4- H Foundation. In addition, Brady is chairman of the Fairfield Youth Commission.

Kyle is a sophomore at Bryant University in Rhode Island. He is a member of the Student Alumni Society and the Legal Studies Club. Kyle is an Alexander Hamilton Gold Award winner, was selected as the California American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year, a Coca Cola Scholar and a McKelvey Entrepreneur Scholarship Winner.

Brady and Kyle were awarded the Dale Earnhardt Legend Leadership Award. They attended the Center for the Book Library of Congress Idea Exchange in Washington, D.C. to learn more about literacy and how to grow their program. They took part in ServiceNation in New York to get more involved in national community service.

Being a part of Youth Venture has made a big difference to My Own Book. YV has provided resources, support and enabled us to become better organized and goal orientated.
