CoVeRaGe on the DIDI Initiative in NY1!!!!
On Jan. 30th, our partner organization Global Kids invited press to attend a virtual event in Teen Second Life highlighting their most recent programs in TSL, focusing in particular on the Dream It. Do It. Initiative. Several reporters attended virtually, and a reporter from NY1 came to Global Kids’ office in-person. NY1 is a major New York TV news station. The news clip was on TV starting last Friday and ran through the whole weekend.

We are so close!
Box City was chosen to be on of the 30 BestBuy@15 Finalists!!
In December there will be an online competition at www.GenV.net/bestbuy this will determine the winners (top 15) ventures that will get the grant!
Each day of the competition you can vote online & via text message

My Own Book- Sharing the Joy of Reading
Hi:
We've got a lot going on with our venture right now. Here is some of our big news:
-our Fall into Reading Night, made possible by a grant from Target, was a huge success- our best event ever!
-the families in the Fairfield Suisun School District donated over 1,800 books through a district wide book drive
-Kyle spoke on WJMF 88.7 radio station about running a non-profit organization
-our next event is 12/17 at Bransford Elementary. We'll be reading & distributing books

Accomplishments and recognition
We all like winning awards, trophies and recognition. Whether it’s winning the cup with your football team or being top of the class we all like to see a reward for our hard work. In a world which if you believe the press has an increasing amount of youth related crime happening it seems that more organisations are creating awards to reward young people doing great things in society whilst trying to get some good publicity for young people.
