Bio

I am the lead manager of the project, Get Outta My Face. I just completed my freshman year at Central Oregon Community College and have been gaining experience in many of my career interest areas: graphics, design, filmmaking and marketing while expanding my skills toward a career in media and management. It's important that our generation, starting with kids as young as age 8, take an active role in building awareness of what $12 billion in junk food marketing has done to us.

Goals

  • I launched a venture more than a year ago and want help to keep it going and growing
  • We hope to collect 10,000 digital media projects on smart choices, healthy eating and lifestyles to tell "big marketing" - GET OUTTA MY FACE.

Interests

Children, Health, Media, Youth Empowerment

Guestbook

We are tired of being the fattest and most unfit generation ever. “Big industries” target us 24/7 with foods/beverages and lifestyles that set us up to continue along this path. Why are they willing to spend $12 billion a year to market junk food to us? It’s because we influence more billions in spending. With healthcare costs reaching more than $4 trillion just about the time we’ll begin raising our families, we’re freaking out. We’ve got digital, communication, community-building skills, and expertise no other generation has ever had. You can join our digital media power and tell them '"GET OUTTA MY FACE!"

    Hello

Youth Venture is so excited that you all are apart of a global youth movement. We have a couple of questions that we would like to ask you all.

Are you all attending a school that has Channel One? And if so, are you interested in being entered in Channel One’s Take Action One Cup competition? The winner gets $5,000 for their school and an interview on Channel One. Let us know as soon as possible so that we can help you all with entering.

    **Peace**

what a wonderful idea! I would definitely like to help out in any way I can. Our school has a club that's dedicated to this kind of stuff...would you like me to connect you with them?

I believe your venture is very important to everyone in America, and I would be interested in joining it or at least helping out in whatever way I could!

Also, do you make logos? I'm looking for someone who enjoys making logos to help me out with a project....

Hey there! I think your venture idea is so inspiring! I just heard on the radio about research done to see if people who watched tv during dinner ate healthier than those who didn't. Here's a link if you'd like to read about it:

Anyway, so how is your documentary film coming along?
