Youth Venture

I am a product of a single parent household. So for me , living in a community where opportunities and resources were limited was something that I was used to, but it wasn’t something that limited my desire and dream to hunger for more. During some of my earlier stages of my life , Domestic violence was the monster that pushed my mother and I into homeless shelters. Over the course of 2 years we lived we in shelters both in the Bronx and in Brooklyn. Many people take the comfort of their own homes granted, however living in these shelters allowed me to see the importance of something as simplistic as a warm blanket . I remembered that the hardest times for my mother and I in the shelters was the holidays. Where everyone had food, but my mother and I were limited to a deceit meal.
That is why I started Project Feed Me, because I didn’t want any other family to endure what my mother and I had to go through.
