Bio

Well, I'm the team leader of the Youth Action Network here in Austin, TX and we are involved in getting youth active in the community. I also work for a local non-profit called Austin Voices for Education and Youth and we advocate youth voice in the schools and community. I love what I do, which is rare at my 21 years of age, but will continue helping Austin's youth 'til I run outta steam (doesn't look like anytime soon)! In my free time I'm a WoW fanatic (World of Warcraft!!!) and an avid comic book reader (Marvel rocks!). What else? Hmmm... I got a baby - well he's a snot-nosed pug - that I'm in love with and I just moved into my own apartment (yay!). And I love Youth Venture!

Goals

  • I want to help out a venture
  • I launched a venture in the last 12 months and could use help
  • I have started a venture and want to share insights
  • The Youth Action Network has big ideas and some confusion about how to go out and just do it. We want to reach more youth and get everyone excited about helping the community. And host rallies to inform youth about different issues in the community.

Interests

Community Development, Community Organizing, Education, Mentoring, Youth Empowerment

    Hi!

I wanted to talk to you to determine if your venture might collaborate with mine in any viable capacity. My venture and nonprofit organization, Girls Helping Girls (www.empoweragirl.org), seeks to educate and empower girls worldwide by connecting girls in the US with those in developing countries to work together to achieve the UN's Millennium Development Goals. We also fundraise to send school supplies, art supplies, computers, etc. to underprivileged girls in our program. We are in need of individuals like you and organizations to fundraise for these supplies, and was wondering if you might help us. Either way, could you respond to me? I would deeply appreciate it.

    Thank you,
    Sejal
