I am the founder of "Write On! For Literacy", a Venture to encourage kids to discover joy, confidence, and a means of self-expression and connection with others through reading and writing. I hold an annual Holiday Book Drive that in the past six years has donated 10,241 new books to underprivileged kids. I also award scholarships for young writers to attend summer writing conferences. My website www.WriteOnBooks.org features author interviews, book reviews, a young writer forum, and more.

I have also joined forces with my brother Greg's foundation, "Share Our Soles" (S.O.S.), that collects, cleans, and then distributes new and used running shoes to underprivileged youth around the world to promote a love for running and spread its many benefits, from improved health and self-esteem to lasting friendships and confidence. sounds like a wonderful venture you have - i love to write as well and my senior project is about picture books and how they build a foundation for reading skills. keep me updated on what happens w/ your venture!
