About Us
Our goal is to provide students at our high school with seed grants of up to $100 to purchase materials and supplies for service projects.
In January 2007, three Freshman students applied for and were awarded a $1000 startup grant from the Youth Venture Program of Youth Service America to create a new, student-run foundation for JCP. The goal of the JCP Student Foundation is to provide JCP students with seed grants of up to $100 to purchase materials and supplies for special service projects that they will undertake within their communities in the Spring and Summer of 2007. The hope is that Jones students will be inspired to create projects that will improve the lives of people in their neighborhoods and social communities. Jones Students will apply to the Foundation for the grants, and their applications will be reviewed by the JCP Student Foundation Board. Currently, the Board consists of Freshmen Nadia (President), Amanda (Vice President), and Stephanie (Secretary/Treasurer) with guidance from the head of service learning at JCP.
