Vikas is combating ignorance through his Venture, Sweekar-Acceptance.

Young people in his village of Navy Mumbai often engage in unsafe sex without realizing the potential consequences. Vikas believes that the transmission of HIV - AIDS and other diseases can be stemmed through innovative educational outreach. Sweekar-Acceptance hosts street plays, informational sessions, and art exhibitions to educate the young public about safe sex. In addition to cultural and social activities, the group incorporates peer referrals for HIV/AIDS testing and counseling.
