About Us
Our name, STRIVE stands for "Students Take Resolute Initiative to Vindicate the Environment." We are Stuyvesant's ONLY environmental activist club.
Our mission is to make our school, Stuyvesant High School, more environmentally friendly by implementing recycling, waste reduction, and energy efficiency programs. Some of our goals are to obtain more recycling bins, install sensor lights and ultimately, get a grant for solar panels. We will also work to spread environmental awareness throughout the student body. A major highlight of our year will be the Earth Day Awareness festival we will hold in Rockefeller Park on Earth Day 2009. It will be Tribeca's first ever large-scale student-led event.
