About Us

Video Production Company

All of us have been into film making since 2001. We started out with a cheap hand-held camera and wild imaginations, with our passions expanding through the various movies we created. By high school we began looking into a more professional area to apply our skills. With the help of Youth Venture, we were able to use these skills to create RDS, and are now even an official registered business (Rubber Ducky Studios, LLC).
Basically, we produce commercials and other productions for local businesses for profit. We then take this money, and help fund other productions (such as making non-profit productions for FREE). Some examples of past work that we have done are:
- Commercial for local Lumber Company
- Commercial for local Home Makeover Company
- Filmed Youth Conference on Volunteerism for StarMight Foundation
- Put together a video with over 50 different businesses for the Souhegan Valley Business Expo
- Various filmings for School and School Board
Currently, we are working with a local ice cream shop to help produce and put a commercial on television for them, as well as producing a video for the graduating class this year.
I guess our dream would be to produce a commercial that would run nation wide, and maybe someday, even own our own Studio. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions, suggestions, or ideas!

How does your group impact your community?

I think our venture has made life easier for people in my community because it has given them the option of a free or inexpensive way of getting their ideas expressed through our creation of video/commercial products. The organizations that have these video/commercial products can then use them for promotion throughout the community. Many members of the community will then be affected by our video and commercial products because they will hopefully be inspired to help out non-profit organizations that we helped promote. Not only will the people of the community help out the non-profit organizations, they will hopefully become new clients of local businesses for which we helped create commercials. If the people are helping support LOCAL businesses and LOCAL non-profit organizations, they are going to be helping out the LOCAL community.

How many people have been impacted by your group?

I don't know if you can "count" the number have been impacted because I think it is more of a ripple effect, as by us helping a business, we are helping their customers as well (see above).

Here's a growing list of stuff that we have done/are working on: - Video for new fitness room proposal by Souhegan School Board - PJ Currier Lumber Commercial (aired on local NH cable) - Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Expo Video with over 80 different companies - Design and Develop Homemakeover Commercial (aired on local NH cable) - Souhegan Valley Flooding Short Documentary - Video for Amherst School Board for school renovations (aired on local NH cable) - NH Sheep and Wool Growers Association Commercial - Filmed the entire day at the NH Youth Conference on Volunteerism - PJ Currier Hardware Commercial (airing on local NH cable) - StarMite Foundation Infomercial - Video for the 2007 Graduating Souhegan Seniors - MaxImpact Institute, local non-profit organization, commercial - Community Builders, Youth Organization (much like Youth Venture), National Infomercial - Became an "official company" and registered to the state as an LLC We've also recieved various recogonition in the past year as we made the front cover of the Nashua Telegraph, as well as articles in the Milford Cabinet and the Amherst Citizen. We also placed in the top 20 in the Staples, Changemakers Competition. Also, this week we are recieving an award presented by the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce for the Youth Entreperneurs of the Year. Hopefully we can contine our progress!

Have you faced any difficulties? Were you able to solve them? If so, how? If not, what would have been helpful to you?

Just the work load gets very tough when we are trying to balance school, sports, and the company. To help solve this problem, we just tell new clients that we are busy but to get back at us in about a month or so and we can work with them. It also helps having seven kids in the company so we can divided the work load.

Have you begun thinking about longer-term planning?

We want to start creating a lot more commercials for profit this summer so that we have a good base to work off of during the school year in order to fund our various projects. We also want to start working on projects from a more national level. Just this year we have reached out to so many groups on a community level, and hopefully by next year, I can say the same thing but on a NATIONAL level.

Describe your relationship with your Ally and your Partner Organization.

Ken Davis, my (Spencer Davis) Dad is the perfect fit for being our Ally because he gives us the insight needed whenever we are stuck in situations or have questions. He gives us our independence a has the faith that we will make good decisions and learn from any mistakes. He will give us and help us to make the right decisions while ultimately, understanding, that the last call will be in our hands. He quietly works on many things for our company in order to help us out as much as he can. Thanks to him, we now have our own bank account, debit card, and are even a registered business! His optimism and belief in us has created a really good relationship for us with him and we hope this belief will someday pay off.
