RFK News is a youth media program based in both The Bronx and Philadelphia producing news, features and opinions by young people for everyone.

RFK News is a youth media program based in both The Bronx and Philadelphia producing news, features and opinions by young people for everyone. RFK News’ method is learning through journalism, young people aged 8 to 18 research and write stories on issues that are important to youth in the Bronx and Philadelphia for publication in national and local newspapers, magazines, television and radio.
Our Mission
The mission of RFK News is to engage and inspire youth to investigate and challenge their surroundings, enhance their personal development and advocate the right of youth to be heard as equals.
Publication and Broadcasting
RFK News’ youth media research issues and produce stories for publication and broadcast in the mainstream media. RFK News plans to produce segments for Fox 29 in Philadelphia, News 12 The Bronx. RFK News is working on an ongoing project regarding youth breaking away from their parents’ religion. The project is titled “Loosing Faith” on 106.3 FM Royal Radio.
Participation
Youth are at the core of RFK News and are involved in decision making at every level. Adults involved in RFK News oversee general operations rather than making all the decision for the youth.
Our Bureaus
We are in the works in having bureaus across The Bronx and Philadelphia where young people can visit and create reports that are used by other broadcasters and newspaper publishers.Bureaus:
