Youth Venture

Our goal is to supply books to the children who live along the Amazon River in Peru who would not otherwise be able to obtain them.

Our group of seven young adults, along with our parents, travelled down to Peru for an adventurous vacation. We had heard about the dire need for childrens books down in the villages along the Amazon River so we decided to bring a box of spanish children's books to hand out to the small children who occupied those villages. We were all deeply moved by how grateful the Peruvian children were, and we wanted to help out more of the children in the many villages along the Amazon. The seven of us founded R.E.A.C.H 4 Books. R.E.A.C.H stands for Reading in Every Amazon Child's Home and that is exactly what our organization is trying to accomplish. Our goal is to send at least 10,000 books down to the young people who can not obtain them on their own. We are greatly trying to promote GLOBAL literacy!
