Youth Venture

MCLP’s primary purpose is to promote unity through the excellence of academics.

Our recently founded program’s name is MCLP, or the Multi-Cultural Learning Program. Our program promotes learning across many subject areas and among all cultural groups. Participants learn the Chinese language along with its culture, English, Mathematics, and Writing, and more. In addition, participants come from all walks of life and represent a diverse ethnic spectrum that aids in extending the appreciation of diversity.
Every weekend, our program is run entirely by volunteers who act as mentors and tutors to the participants, providing one-on-one attention while encouraging participants to branch out and discover new cultures. Our dream is to aid participants attain not only academic, but also social excellence through intellectual and social stimulation, from tutoring and testing to guest speakers and social gatherings. Our program addresses the need for better and higher education, along with the celebration of all races and cultures. As our community sometimes takes academic excellence for granted, especially among those who cannot afford it, our program serves to emphasize and strengthen the importance of learning in a stimulating environment.
