What is the homeless population lackin the most? Warmth, both physically and mentally; something we hope to provide simply through a scarf.

"Proud and Willin' to Serve" has always been the motto of the Evergreen Key Club. Through various involvement with service projects at local organizations which all hold the central mission statement of providing assistance to the homelss population in Seattle, many of the club members felt the deep impact of homelessness on the community and the need to alleviate this growing statistic.
Through our venture "Kill the Chill," the Evergreen Key Club hopes to provide the homeless with the lacking warmth and care; especially during January, February, and March-- months proceeding the holiday season where a lack of "the spirit of giving" often occurs. A second goal of our venture is to increase our student population's awareness to the issue of homelessness. What better way to do this, than to hand-make fleece scarves; a project which all volunteers can easily adhere to and will benefit the homeless population?
