Intuitive Minds is a non profit community enhancement school after school program providing curriculums that will help kids from ages 6- 18 improve the world or society in which they live. This school after school will be located in LeCompte, Louisiana. The program will form partnerships with local school districts and businesses.
Intuitive Minds goal is there are No limitations or excuses ... only perseverance and distinction. It will also help them foster a commitment that will promote pro social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.
Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished that will give youth the commitment to follow through on the path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Intuitive Minds is a program that will catch our youth at a young age before they slip through the cracks into “The World of I Can’t”.
The goal of the school after school is to offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives.
The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life and to be productive in any environment.
Intuitive Minds will focus on instilling motivation and commitment, setting the standard of excellence, encouraging true dedication to all tasks. We will primarily focus on middle school youths. It is projected that with in three years, 50% of the system’s students will be in middle school. This age group is particularly problematic and a perfect time for mentoring to be effective.
Intuitive Minds programs will teach youth that there are so many opportunities and ventures for them to start and be part of. With guidance they will be able to take courses that are of interest to them.
During the time while taking courses we will be working closely with each child getting to know them and what they want to do in there life. Also they will have meeting, trips, and visitors to come and help them with their goals and dreams.
Overtime, Intuitive Minds will be a national school after school creating a learning environment that will be an invaluable resource to young people, aspiring mentors and the community at large.
