About Us
Put on an event outside to raise awareness for youth homelessness by staying overnight on MN State Capitol front lawn.

Box City Vigil is an annual event in its fifth year. It is an overnight at the Minnesota State Capitol, where the participants spend the night in boxes to simulate a night on the streets. There are speakers, musical guests, and an outreach project at the event.
The committee is made up of seven high schoolers under the supervision of two adult leaders. It works hand in hand with the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless and Bloomington United for Youth. The committee hopes to gain more participants this year so more people will learn about the growing problem of youth homelessness.

Our Team is looking for help with…
Spreading the word and teaching people about the devastating facts and stories about the homeless youth. This year we will be collecting items to put together hygiene kits and hand them out at local youth homeless shelters.
