Youth Manifesto

No votes yet

This week saw the launch of one of our most important projects to date the Talented Young People – Youth Manifesto.

With teen crime making daily headline news and with many people at a loss to what to do to combat it we had to step in. We could no longer sit idly by waiting for someone else to try and solve the problem we had to act. No longer could we continue to debate the rights and wrongs of government policies or national laws. The time for debating is over the time for action is now.

Does anything really change? Last week it was discussed in the news whether funding for youth related projects and schemes had actually made a noticeable or quantifiable improvement to the lives of young people or not.

It is hard when you read the headlines over the weekend of murdered teenagers to actually imagine that funding is helping but how do you gauge the national and overall success of a project when you have stories like this to contend with?

We are having a concert at Nashua high school south tuesday june 10 at 7-9. it will feature some of NH’s best and brightest doing what they do best. it will also have a variety of different styles and many schools will be represented. the whole point of the concert is to not only show great music but to also show how young people can be rallied up for change. These people all want to change the world and to save a life. Proceeds are going to the global fund. And that charity deals with AID’s victims and Malaria victims and TB victims.

this week i was reminded why exactly why i am doing what i was doing, why joe and i are working on creating music that sends a positive message. why our school needs music that will break the mold and that will bond people and bring cultures together. i have faces racism in the past and this year it has been to much. i seen the need for a change and i am gonna put even more effort in trying to end it all. we are all people and we should all do our best in working together for the greater cause.

Fr. Mujule is a great man. It amazes me to think of all he's gone through, but he has achieved so much. Fr. Mujule is a priest serving in our diocese from Hoima Uganda. It's ironic to think that he calls himself a missionairy here in the United States when he has been serving the impoverished in his country for years. He says that so many people in Uganda are materially poor but have strong values. Where as the people in the US are materially wealthy. I think one reason I wanted to start a Youth Venture Team was because I want people to realize that youth are not yet molded.
