Progress of LIFT -- Launching My Organization With Others' Help
I am still the founder and director of LIFT and in it's first year of operation, it is still going strong and I intend for it to for many years to come! The program had a rough time getting started as a summer program this year (as far as recruiting girls, getting more funds, having the right networks, and creating the actual curriculum of the program -- which underwent many changes). Since it did not start this summer, I had to make a decision for it to become a weekly after school or weekend program.

Facebook Fatigue
The last two years has seen an explosion of social networking activity on the Internet. With websites like MySpace, Bebo and Facebook attracting millions of users who log on each day to check their profiles, upload photos and talk with their friends.
Are young people at risk?
Hope you all had an awesome week. I have a brilliant time down at the YoMo national youth conference. There was so much energy and passion for helping young people during the conference it was unbelievable. On my journey home from the conference I started thinking about this blog that I wanted to share with you.

Day of Caring is a fantastic opportunity to work hard, get your hands dirty, and witness firsthand the great things non-profit agencies in the Greater Nashua area are doing! Day of Caring takes place each September. For one day, volunteers from companies in the Greater Nashua and Souhegan Valley area take the day off from work to volunteer at area non-profit organizations.
