It amazes me how many people have no idea about the genocide in Darfur, and that the world is just standing by, watching, and doing nothing, just like what happened in Rwanda.
So, this event would include a movie screening, petition signing and of course, food, drink and goodie bags. With an entry price of $10!
As far as I am aware, this will be the first event held on behalf of Darfur in the whole of New Zealand.
So here is a bit of background: The genocide in Darfur started in 2003, with an estimated 300,000 people killed in the first 2 years.

NEWS: Today(5-9-07) I was on the show "The Wire" along with my towns Champion and Kyle(from the Dream It. Do It. World Tour). We talked about Youth Venture and the Dream It. Do It. World Tour. I was extremely nervous but I had a lot of fun.
