Poems We Should Live By
Here is one of my favorite poems in the world. it is one that creates the best feeling ever within me and i completely agree with it. whenever i get the chance i bring it up in class as an example to how i think people should think about each other and how the world should take it. I hope you enjoy it and i hope it causes you to have that feeling that i got.
Small as a peanut,
Big as a giant,
We're all the same size
When we turn off the light.
Rich as a sultan,
Poor as a mite,
We're all worth the same
When we turn off the light.
Red, black or orange,
Yellow or white,
Global Youth Viewpoints
Gayle Kimball, Ph.D., coordinator of Women's Studies at California State University, Chico is writing a book about global youth viewpoints and would like to include Youth Venture. She's collecting responses from young people around the world age 19 and under. She'll compare responses by age, gender, and location. See her MySpace page at myspace.com/globalyouthviewpoints for information and for photos of schools and students she's visited. If you'd like to be apart of her book, please email her DIRECTLY.
Diversity in Venture Teams
Hi guys,
I'd like to talk about diversity in venture teams! Diversity is a huge part of America and of youth service - as we all know, in order to make a difference we need to include and accept people from all sorts of backgrounds and with all different kinds of talents.
What have you done to encourage diversity in your team? What are your plans for the future? What do you think people need to do to encourage more diversity?
