As with any place you call home, there is bound to be a few things here and there that just aren’t your favorite (except for in California which is, as you might have guessed, perfect). I was recently asked to serve on the DC Commission for National & Community Service. We're the overseers for every service-oriented initiative taken on within the District of Columbia. Within that Commission I serve on the Education Committee. Our goal is to "push" service initiatives, volunteerism and action in the public school system. Needless to say, I have been encouraging the Commission to consider Youth Venture as a potential program to insight a serving revolution on campuses. For whatever reason, this has been an uphill battle. Why?

The first in a series of video blogs following the Dream It. Do It. World Tour. I'm in DC right now doing an absolute ton of prep work. We also just hosted our launch event at AU. Good times!

Here it is! The first of what will soon become a series of personal video blogs offering updates on the tour, insights into what I'm doing and maybe a few laughs. My goal is to never film this weekly update standing still. I want to be moving in some way - either in a car, on a bus, or on my own two feet! The launch went really well yesterday and we're all pumped here in the office. I'll be posting the whole schedule by the end of the week, so get excited! Woohoo!
