Christmas

In our final blog of the year before Talented Young People closes its doors for the Christmas break I thought it was only fitting this week that we talk about Christmas.

Now to me Christmas is a time of relaxation but deserved relaxation. If you put in one hundred and ten percent all year around to achieve your dreams your batteries need to be recharged with a week’s rest. With companies and a vast percentage of the population slowing down and closing up for Christmas it makes sense to get your rest and relaxation in when it is hard to get anything done.

Teen volunteers will be on hand at Bransford Elementary School's holiday musical performance evening to read and let the children pick out books. We picked this evening because we wanted the entire family on hand to see that reading is fun! We are also letting each child enter our drawing for one of five FIVE FOOT TALL teddy bears complete with a teddy bear book.
In addition, we've teamed up with Hi 4-H to have crafts and cookies on hand for the families. This should help make the event great!

It might come as no surprise that my family is large, loud and always right. That is, each member is ALWAYS right, which isn't possible because I am always right. When the holidays roll around I think of three things: Christmas lights, christmas food and 19 people all opening presents at the exact same time in my grandparent's living room. This year was no exception to all of the above. I know the Taylors are overbearing. I know the Taylors are very "vocal." I know the Taylors can, at times, be a lot to handle.

Have you seen that many Santa Clauses? I saw them at the Smithsonian, backpacking to who knows where! Anyways, Merry Christmas everybody! Peace be with you and wishing you success for the New Year :)
