College for NYU's homeless

Any homeless advocate will tell you, the only solution for homelessness is housing. But at the same time, nobody wants to struggle forever to make ends meet. St. John's University and NYC Department of Homeless Services announced an exciting new partnership this week: they are giving 40 of the city's homeless a chance to earn a college degree.

Have you wondered how the college admissions process really works? Do you want to know what real college students have to say about college life? "What's Up With College?" is a two hour session to answer all of your questions about college!
Who: Freshman & Sophomores in high school
What: A session with college students & admission counselors from the area (we will update with names of schools as they become available)
Where: Nichols Library downstairs meeting room, Naperville, Illinois
When: November 18th, 2:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $5.00, paid at the door (no credit cards please!)
