It's that simple. Having teens read to children and showing them that books are fun, full of surprise and adventure is great. Telling them about the public library is wonderful. But, seeing their eyes light up with joy as they pick out a book of their very own is priceless. We add a bookplate to each book with the child's name on it to reinforce that the book is very own. Kids are entranced. They hug their books, jump with joy, and show their books off to friends. You could be the catalyst to this whole chain of events- text today and get your friends on the program.
