Legacy International

Legacy International is dedicated to strengthening civil society – linking cultures and providing tools for individuals and organizations to build a better tomorrow today.

They have two very exciting summer programs for youth:

Session 1: Global Youth Village July 6-26 (Three weeks)
Join teens from Indonesia, Hungary, Germany, Korea and Nigeria. Gain project planning skills through workshops such as: Faith and Politics, Green Your World, Mass Media and You, Global Music, Arabic Language and Culture. Develop leadership skills; live in a multicultural environment, which fosters lifelong friendships and an appreciation for different points of view. At the Global Youth Village, international festivals and traditional summer fun activities such as swimming, pottery, dance, soccer, canoeing, rock climbing… fill the days. For more information go to www.globalyouthvillage.org.

Session 2: Welcoming Iraqi Youths August 2-10 (8 day program)
Twenty-eight Iraqi teens will come to the Global Youth Village along with U.S. teens representative of U.S. diversity. Morning workshops will address global issues and peace building. Afternoon activities include
simple Arabic for US students, and recreational activities such as rock climbing, pottery making, and basketball. Be the forefront of change and help establish new friendships. For more information go to
