The other night Ross and Maridee had their YV panel AND THEY LAUNCHED!!! I’m soo happy and excited!! This means that we now have 1 official YV team and that others are hopefully going to follow soon. I feel a lot better knowing that I’ve launched at least one team in the four and a half months that I’ve been here.
I met with my recycling team yesterday and they found an awesome ally. This woman, Daisy, is the recycling coordinator with the Public Works Departments (wow that was a mouthful). It’s her job to get local schools and families to start recycling and she’s pumped to be working with her first student-led team. She’s really helping them think big and look beyond Peace St.
Also Exciting: I now have a phone in my office/room, but I’m not sure if it’s really going to work. I made one call with it and now whenever I press any button it takes me to a inbox, weird.
