GenV.net has two different types of profiles -- Member and Team. This page will walk you through creating both member and team profiles.

Member Profile

The member profile is where you share information about YOU! We want to know what your hobbies and interests are. Tell us who/what inspires you. Tell us stories about how you’ve helped your community. So join the community today! It is quick and simple. Here is what you need to do:

  • Step 1: Click on JOIN NOW!
  • Step 2: Enter all fields with an asterisk (*).
    You can fill out the fields that do not have an asterisk now, but they are not required. You can always update it later. Don’t worry though. All personally identifiable information, like your name and email address, will be kept private and will not be displayed publicly. We want to make sure you stay safe!
  • Step 3: Click CREATE NEW ACCOUNT at the bottom to submit your registration form
  • Step 4: Check your e-mail for your GenV.net generated password.
    Don’t forget to check your spam folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, click on "Request new password", fill out the form and click "Submit". If you still do not receive a confirmation email, email genv.usa@youthventure.org using the email address you used at registration and include your chosen user name. We will help you reset it.
  • Step 5: Log in using the password
  • Step 6: Click on Edit above your profile picture. Enter your password of choice and click SUBMIT.
    You’ve just reset your password.

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve just finished registering and are now ready to take full advantage of what GenV.net has to offer!

IMPORTANT: GenV.net will send you a confirmation email in order to give you full access to your profile. Please provide a valid email address.



Team Profile

The team profile is your place to share information about your venture. This is where you tell us what your venture idea is and how you are helping your community. It’s also the place where you announce information about upcoming venture team events, post pictures, upload videos, etc. Basically, it is a place to SHOW the world what your team is doing! ALL team profiles will appear in the browse section. Here is how you set it up:

  • Step 1: Click Create Team Profile on Member Toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  • Step 2: Complete all field with an asterisk (*).
    You can answer the other questions, but they are not required. Remember, though, if you want help and volunteers, you need to give your audience as much info about your venture as possible so they will want to help your team! And if you are short on time, you can always come back to edit it.
  • Step 3: Click PREVIEW to see what it’ll look like. When you are happy with your team profile, just click SUBMIT.
