2008 - Year of the Magician
I thought I would begin this blog today on January 1st - 2008 - fresh start on a year that I feel is destined to be a year of great achievement for all of us who are dedicated to changing the status quo and building a more sustainable way of living.
Yesterday I mailed off the final paperwork for our team to Min-Kyung in New York - I wish to make a public statement that Min-Kyung has not only been impeccable in her assistance to our team through the YV support process, she is a true agent of change! Thank you Min-Kyung.
So onward and upward - We received our acceptance letter on December 7 and now we are proceeding with our action plan to begin the epic journey of actually creating this project.
We have reserved the domain name and found a server willing to host the Interdependent Project site for free until it gets too big - which it will when we build the content databases networking templates.
This week we will launch an index page with the mission statement and order the organic t-shirts with the projects logo on it for our fundraising plan.
We also entered a contest sponsored by Keen Footwear whose deadline was yesterday -if you want to read about it you can go to http://www.keenfootwear.com/stand/ - we entered the "Stand For" category. I found out about the contest just 5 days before the deadline and it was really exciting writing an in depth proposal for the contest - wish us luck!
I want to thank everyone who has been encouraging us and leaving such kind support messages for me -
I will post more later - just wanted to kick start the year with a blog
