Age doesn't define our ability
I want start a discussion on a experience I have as a youth venturer and I'm sure many of you have the same kind of experience. As you know our society usually doesn't take youths seriously on important matters. Many times, youths are prejudged as "not mature" or "unstable" therefore they can't make the right decisions for themselves. So it's even more difficult for a youths who wants to make a difference in their community to go out there and try to convince others that they are passionate and committed to their cause. For a few times, I received responses from foundations and corporations being skeptical of how exactly will a youth led organization sustain itself. Sometimes our grant proposals are rejected because a youth led venture is not considered "legitimate". Consequently, this left us with less funding resources than other 503 tax exempted organizations. I think youth venture is doing a great job at showing how teens can be successful leaders and contribute to their community.
My question is "what have you done as a venturer to prove to potential donors that you are serious and capable leaders? "
