Green Teens Eco-Bag Booth Nov 17th

On Nov 17th 2007 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Green Teens held an educational Eco-Bag booth outside of the Willimantic Food Co-op. The goal of the booth was to show the general public Eco-Bags, a wonderful alternative to plastic and paper bags. Green Teens had a display board, informative handouts, and cloth bags to sell as a fundraiser.
The club also spread awareness of World Tree Day. An environmental holiday that they are promoting with the Tree Theatere Group in Malaysia.We got some more signatures for the holiday and also raised a bit of money for a local homeless shelter (this was done as a 3rd party set up, some of the Green Teens are involved in this). We raised a total of $80.95 and want to thank all that so generously donated and stopped by!
