What is real Hip Hop

Ok, now, my feelings towards hip hop are very strong. I don't think you really understand what it does for me. It's basically my drug of choice. If i am in the worst mood ever, it can give me energy and have me ready for the rest of the day, thats how powerful it is for me. So, i feel its up to me to introduce real hip hop to people who haven't ventured into 90's hip hop or understand where hip hop came from or what hip hop used to be. If you want to know what real hip hop is, and you are really really sick of today's hip hop and need to be amazed, i am going to leave a great amount of examples that i suggest you look into. Now, before i start, the content in these materials are for a mature audience so don't come complaining to me if you don't approve (i warned you!!!). I'm not an expert in old school rap, i'm making my way back, i'll get there eventually. I'm mainly gonna focus on the "golden age" of hip hop (90's and early 2000's).
