IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and the U.S. Department of Education and is part of an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
This year’s theme is “International Education: fostering global citizenship and respect,” and there are numerous ways to get involved. A list of suggestions is available at the IEW web site, http://iew.state.gov/get_involved.htm
