Animal Cruelty
This is a topic i feel strongly about so i am a bit touchy about it but please feel free to speek your mind.
I am trying to help win the fight to stop animal cruelty. As i learn of more and more cruelty cases it makes me want to cry. Where i live it is not noticed as much because i live in a small country town. But i have been working with humane societies, fostering, volenteering, and educating. I just do not see how someone can pour gasoline on a tiny dog and light him on fire. I can not comprehend why some one would do that. There is much evil in the world but finding out how people treat animals makes me wonder how they treat other people. As an adult i would wish to continue the fight but also save as many animals from the cruelty surrounding us. Also i would like to say that i disagree with the reputation of pitbulls. My friend and neighbor both own one and they are just as nice as a lab. It's the people who breed them to fight and kill smaller animals and other dogs that give them this reputation but if raised properly in a friendly and loving environment they make wonderful pets. Fighting pitbulls is just wrong. You are taking a wonderful breed with a great personality and destroying it. Drugs are often involved in pitbull fighting. The dogs are most commonly fought untill one dog is killed. For the so called wining dog to fix the gaping wounds staples are used. Pitbull fighting needs to be stopped!
