Living in other countries
For a couple years in middle school, I had the opportunity to move to england. We lived in a small village (40 people) that only had a pub and the nearest town had about 10,000 people and thats where I went to school. Its odd to think that people there didnt really have huge aspirations. Nothing like, "I want to be a movie star!" or "I'm going to be Prime Minister!" Most of my friends just wanted to find a job in the market or become a hair cutter or work at Woolworth's. They were planning to stay in Wantage for the rest of their lives, just like their parents and grandparents before them. I remember taking one of my friends to London, which was just an hour away, and she had NEVER been! I was shocked, because I went every weekend and she had lived in England for a lot longer than I had.
I was just wondering what other experiences people have had.
