Drugs in Your Community
I was just wondering how many of you see drugs as being a big problem in your community or school. Drugs were widely used at my high school and a few wealthy students at my college came to school with or developed an addiction to heroin. A friend of mine in college, who was a really cool guy, smoked weed about twice a day. When he was promoted from being a busboy to a server at the restaurant where we worked, he found it difficult to remember customers' food and drink orders--or even to write them down. He was an awesome guy, but I think smoking so much pot really hurt his short term memory. I'm also wondering what youth have done to try and prevent drug abuse in their communities.
