“Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. You were not born to fail.”And if you believe in our motto, Join Our world, of young people who work for a change join Pamoja youth work Camp.

Re: Grow It
I and some of my colleagues have started a new venture in my country to help the underprivileged and less privilege children in Sierra Leone and am hoping to extend it in all West Africa States.
This my venture is named "HELP THE NEEDY" focusing on raising funds to help children who are currently in critical conditions. Some of these children are street children,Children with HIV/AIDS,Orphans etc.
This venture will help these type of children in the following areas:
* Education
* Health care
* Access to clean and safe drinking water
* Access to information
* Access to recreation and sport
* Building of orphanages etc.
This is a new venture which need help from individuals all over the world ,but we don't accept donations from child right violators or drug dealers
We are accepting donations ranging from $5 and above from individuals,organizations etc.
We hope to start our operation 16th June 2008 after receiving donation in any quantity.
"CHILDREN ARE OUR GREATEST RESOURCES"
We look forward to make a world fit for children if all of us put hands together.
We accept donation at any time. If you want to donate you can contact the team on helptheneedysierraleone@gmail.com.
I would appreciate what ever available support for us to achieve our vision and mision.
Thanks

Re: Grow It
I am interested in helping children read since this impacts their lives if they are unable to decipher and break words apart. I am looking for ideas to recruit 12 year old students attending the same school to sign up for cross age tutoring project. Basically I want to know what would cause a student to spend one hour with a 4 or 5 year old helping them to recite their alphabet, read words and write sentences? What incentives would be necessary to give the twelve year old motivation to remain in the program during the entire semester after recruitment?

Re: Grow It
Any kid likes fun. Make up some cool activities for after they're done working with the kids. One day you could play soccor, another day you could play board games, you could even see a movie if the kids do a good job. If you keep it fun, they'll keep working. One thing you want to keep in ming however, is that if they really wanted to be doing it, they would stay in anyways. You shouldn't have to bribe them to do good deeds.

I have been working on "beautiful" since I was seriously 5. I think every child should be given the right to medications. Every mother, sister, brother, dad should be able to stay alive and live as if they never have before and AIDS is an important reality right now. Millions and millios of people are dying and I think its time to stop it.

Re:
I think the hardest part is actually what is neededin the community. However, once you have found something you know ehere yo focus all your energies and time which is probably the easier part. Going out into the community and asking questions is always the best place to start.
