Most recently, we have been working on two projects. The first is the Scholastic's Kids are Authors contest. We chose to write in the Going Green category. To give a brief summary, a young boy looks at the world around him and sees what is wrong with it, and then proceeds to try and fix them. Some older kids pick on him and ostracize him for cleaning up the environment and recycling, but he continues to do so anyway. Soon, a young girl sees what the boy is doing, and she also begins to help out. Eventually, the older kids also start to help out and their community looks much cleaner.

Drive at the Elemetary School

Our most recent project is a drive for the Ronald McDonald House. It will last until the end of the month (February). Thus far, it has gone really well! We already have bags of items that have been donated. It was pretty easy to accomplish everything we needed to for the drive.

Build a Bear to Show You Care

My Venture is called Build a Bear to Show You Care. Basically, we are working with the Ronald McDonald House of Albany and Albany Medical Center. We have baked desserts for the Ronald McDonald House and helped to clean it. We have also donated Build-A-Bears to the Ronlad McDonald family room at Albany Med. The bears were all dressed up, and we had quite an assortment.
