So today I took the upcoming team KRS Salon to Crossroads to see if they could help each other out. KRS Salon is a group that want to start working with local homeless shelters, giving out free haircuts to people in need, clothing/food drives, and doing educational games with kids.

So things have been happening over the course of the week. I now have two more teams, Theory Design (a airbrush design studio) and Definition (an after school dance program). I’m finding that having one panel per team is working a lot better then having one huge panel with 5 teams presenting (it’s a lot easier to get someone when they know they’ll only be there for about an hour).

The other night Ross and Maridee had their YV panel AND THEY LAUNCHED!!! I’m soo happy and excited!! This means that we now have 1 official YV team and that others are hopefully going to follow soon. I feel a lot better knowing that I’ve launched at least one team in the four and a half months that I’ve been here.

Ready...Set.....
I’m starting this blog late. It’s been about four months now that I’ve been at Peace St. working with the Youth Venture/Big Picture partnership and I’m only starting to record what’s happening now, but better late then never.
