Youth Take Control of $1Million
Image

Best Buy wants to give teenagers the power to make our world a better place, and starting on February 2nd YOU will be given the opportunity to help decide where $1 million in donations goes!
Here's how it works:
You earn points by completing activities on the @15 web site (www.at15.com). The more you participate, the more points you earn.
Every three months, Best Buy adds up all of the points that teens have earned on the site, divides up the donation pile and lets you decide which of the four featured charities receives money!
Vote for Box City Vigil in the Best Buy @15 grant!!!!
Hey everyone!
How to help BCV!
The decision of what teams get the Best Buy @15 grants depends on how many votes each team will get. Please vote for the Box City Vigil every day! If we were to receive this grant, the money would be spent on basic expenses to put on the event and we are also going to put together hygiene kits to give to local homeless shelters. We also hope to increase the visibility and participation of our event. We hope to make BCV 2009 a great success thanks to your votes.
There are 3 ways to vote each day. All ways are FREE and take very little time!!

Green Teens Visit the Columbia Congregational Church
Image

The GTs were invited to the Columbia Congregational Church (Columbia, CT) in order to hold an Eco-Bag booth for the younger members of the church. First, the GTs gave a presentation to the entire church on the importance of taking care of Mother Earth, we then headed upstairs with the children (and some helpers!). Each child got to make his or her own bag, as well as discuss the importance of helping the environment-- buy using eco-bags! The workshop was such a success-- we were invited back, and invited to work with other clubs and girl scout troops in the area!!
