My Own Book Reaches Out to the Community

Here is one of the gingerbread houses on display at our public library- it is actually a scale model of the library! It is very cool. We had a big reading event/book giveaway on December 20th to show off all the gingerbread houses- check out our Reading is Sweet tab at www.myownbook.net for more pictures! We displayed over 35 gingerbread houses and then auctioned them off to get money to buy books. During the event we had girl scouts and the local high school leadership group reading aloud to children and helping them to select a book of their very own.
It was sweet!
