YV's first batch of Changemakers
In the first cycle , YV Challenge is supporting 27 young people to launch ventures on their social change ideas. After 3 capacity building workshops, the venturers present their ideas to a panel. Based on the panelists feedback, YV invests Rs 10,000 in each lead venturer.
The issues around which ventures has been launched are; Environment, Working with Transgenders, Women’s empowerment, Environment, Sensitization of Youth groups for prevention of HIV /AIDS , Work with children to provide lifestyle counselling and awareness, Working with children in hospitals, Education of Street Children, Street Theatre , Girls education, Vocational Guidance, Consumer Rights and RTI, Education of school drop out children and Elderly Care.
